Winners of the 38th Annual Telly Awards have been announced. As advocates for the arts and local theatre programs, our team is thrilled to have won a Telly Award for a television commercial produced for The Western Stage’s musical play Bandido!
Premiering in September 2016, The Western Stage’s newly revised version of Luis Valdez’s musical play Bandido! is a stunning biography and epic political satire that explores the turbulent and controversial life of Tiburcio Vásquez. Originally staged by El Teatro Campesino in 1982, Bandido! tells the story of local legend Vásquez’s last desperate robbery in 1875, giving the audience a slice of rich, local history.
